Microsoft has introduced an email security offering intended to help government and commercial organizations protect their mailboxes against sophisticated threats.
The Exchange Online Advanced Threat Protection service works to filter out zero-day threats and malicious links in digital correspondence, according to a June 1 blog post by Shobhit Sahay, technical product manager of Microsoft’s Office 365 group.
The platform is also designed with reporting and URL tracking tools for organizations to monitor any kinds of email security attack.
Sahay says Microsoft will initially offer the Exchange Online ATP service to Office 365 customers through an online subscription program.
The offering will be available from the company’s volume licensing and cloud solution partners effective Aug. 1.
