L-3 National Security Solutions has won the Prairie View A&M University’s corporate partner of the year award for the company’s software simulation training program for the Texas-based university’s students and faculty.
NASA and L-3 jointly developed the program with the goal of supporting human space flight missions, L-3 said Wednesday.
“This program allows us to continue our decades-long support of NASA’s mission, while engaging the next generation of world-class software engineers,†said Les Rose, president of L-3 NSS.
L-3 has been training faculty members and students via paid three-year internships under the program.
NASA and L-3 NSS also built PVAMU’s space exploration software simulation laboratory to train students on the use of Trick software in developing and operating vehicle simulations.
