General Dynamics has received the James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Award for security practices at the company’s facilities in Virginia, Philadelphia and Arizona.
The Defense Department’s Defense Security Service recognized the facilities for their work to implement a security program that complies with the National Industrial Security Program, General Dynamics said Wednesday.
“General Dynamics is proud to be among the select few companies to receive the Cogswell award,” said Dan Johnson, executive vice president of General Dynamics’ information systems and technology group.
Johnson added that the award highlights the company’s efforts to protect classified information at its facilities.
