The Aerospace Corp. has promoted Timothy N. Jones, formerly principal engineer at the firm’s national intelligence division, to general manager of NID.
Jones will oversee all intelligence operations for the company’s clients and will report to Catherine Steele, senior vice president of national systems unit, Aerospace said Thursday.
Prior to returning to Aerospace in 2014, he was previously deputy director of systems engineering directorate at the National Reconnaissance Office.
The U.S. Marine Corps veteran held leadership roles at medium- and large-scale engineering enterprises for more than a decade and holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California.
NID provides geospatial intelligence-focused data analysis, cybersecurity, analytics development and space threat evaluation services for the intelligence community.
