A VSE Corp. subsidiary has been selected to develop and maintain the U.S. military’s joint medical asset repository system under a nearly $14.9 million task order.
Akimeka LLC will provide core sustainment for the web-based application that services military logisticians, military planners and healthcare providers, VSE said Wednesday.
The contract contains an 11-month base period of performance and three one-year options.
VSE CEO Maurice Gauthier said the platform is designed to help the military bolster its readiness and deliver healthcare services to military service members and veterans.
Users are able to access location, quantity, current demand, supply and usage of medical materiel, and medical equipment assets through the platform, VSE says.
