CenturyLink has inked an agreement with NEXTDC to outsource the company’s data center services to regional and multinational companies in Australia.
CenturyLink is set to roll out network, managed hosting, colocation and cloud services in the country in late 2015, CenturyLink said Monday.
Gery Messer, managing director for Asia Pacific at CenturyLink, said the company’s extension of data center footprint into Australia aims to address the Asia-Pacific region’s “growing customer demand for IT services.â€
Customers will be able to access managed hosting and colocation services through NEXTDC’s network of data centers in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Perth.
CenturyLink and NEXTDC will also sell into each other’s data centers under the agreement.
