SRA International and the Environmental Protection Agency have rolled out a home advisor program to assist consumers in their energy conservation and cost reduction efforts.
SRA and EPA designed the Energy Star Home Advisor for users to create a home profile that customizes recommendations to conserve household energy consumption, SRA said Monday.
John Ludecke, vice president of SRA’s health and civil business, said the program will act as a guide for homemakers through assessment checklists, to-do lists and other suggested changes for improvement.
SRA said its team defined and developed the logic for the program to meet various requirements.
Energy Star Home Advisor features technologies and database design methods that are based on big data best practices for a centralized searching and reporting function, it added.
