Frost and Sullivan has released a study that predicts the U.S. healthcare cloud market will reach $3.5 billion by 2020, iHealthBeat reported Friday.
Shruthi Parakkal, healthcare research analyst at Frost and Sullivan, cited several results of cloud migration as information technology staff management, reduced upfront costs, operational efficiency, on-demand data access and deployment, according to the report.
The report indicates stakeholders are concerned over privacy, cloud security, migration, portability and preservation, the report says.
Frost and Sullivan recommends cloud service providers create service level agreements that vouch for reliability and data portability in order to address those concerns, iHealthBeat reports.
