GovCon AwardsOcto Consulting Group has received nominations in two categories of the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards for the second year in a row.

The federal technology and management solutions provider was named a finalist in both the Contractor of the Year and Executive of the Year awards, the same honors it received in 2013, Octo said Thursday.

“These nominations are a testament to the hard work and accomplishments of our employees and we look forward to celebrating with them and the other nominees,” said Octo Consulting Group President Mehul Sanghani, who is in contention for Executive of the Year (>$75 million) alongside Satya Akula of Amyx, Babs Doherty of Eagle Ray, Scott Goss of Preferred Systems Solutions, Kim Hayes of The Ambit Group.

The Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce and Professional Services Council present the GovCon Awards every year to entities they deem to have made “outstanding contributions” to the government contracting industry.

This year’s winners will be announced in a gala event at the Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corners on Nov. 13.
