mentorship, discussionThe Department of the Navy will conduct a series of technical interchange meetings with industry ahead of a scheduled analysis of alternatives in 2015 on potential replacements for the F/A-18E/F and EA-18G aircraft.

A notice posted Tuesday on FedBizOpps says the Naval Air System Command‘s Warfare Analysis and Integration Department plans to build on its 2012 “Carrier-Based, Strike Fighter Key Capabilities Market Survey” on projected aircraft needs for combat scenarios through 2030.

The Navy will discuss with interested industry and academic partners as well as other government agencies concerns about affordability, platform modification, new start aircraft, family of systems, AoA mission systems and avionics case matrix recommendations, AoA payload case matrix recommendations and technology.

Interested parties are required to submit a letter of intent to participate in a TIM via written correspondence, email, web conference or face-to-face meeting and indicate the focus area or areas they are interested in.

Responses will be accepted through Sept. 22.
