A Jacobs Engineering Group–HDR joint venture is part of a design-build consortium that won a $2.32 billion contract for the 21-mile Interstate 4 modernization project in Florida.
The Florida Transportation Department picked I-4 Mobility Partners to construct 15 interchanges, more than 140 bridges and four toll lanes between Orange and Seminole counties, Jacobs said Friday.
Consortium members include Jacobs/HDR, Skanska Infrastructure Development, John Laing, Skanska, Granite and Lane Construction Joint Venture.
Jacobs/HDR will be responsible for the final design of drainage, lighting, signalization, signing and traffic control management systems.
The FDOT oversees the project through a public-private partnership agreement.
