HP has unveiled new tools under the HP JetAdvantage brand that are designed to help further secure the enterprise’s print environment.
Pradeep Jotwani, senior vice president for LaserJet and enterprise solutions at HP, said Thursday that the new offerings are intended to meet a demand for a solution that enterprises can use to better monitor and manage their print security.
“As the financial impact of a data breach increases, the fundamental need for comprehensive printing security solutions continues to grow,†Jotwani said.
The expanded portfolio includes an updated version of HP’s Imaging and Printing Security Center, which the company said works to create the policies that dictate the parameters of printing fleet use.
The added solutions from HP also include a print security advisory service that analyzes the print environment and recommends how best to secure the infrastructure, and other built-in security features to help safeguard data, documents and devices.
