Jose Molina, former managing director ofÂ Accenture‘s financial services industry practice, has been named a principal atÂ Grant ThorntonÂ and head ofÂ the firm’sÂ financial services advisory enterprise risk management practice.
Molina’s appointmentÂ is part of Grant Thornton’s push to expand itsÂ financial services advisory practice, which also addedÂ former Bank of America executiveÂ Ilieva Ageenko as model risk management chief, the company said Tuesday.
“Jose’s proven leadership and experience directing interdisciplinary teams aimed at assessing, enhancing and implementing financial and operational risk management processes will be invaluable assets to our clients,” saidÂ Warren Stippich, Grant Thornton’s national head of governance, risk and compliance solutions.
Molina, who will be based in Grant Thornton’s Chicago office, has worked on financial risk management, risk analytics and modeling, risk capital management and operational risk management optimization at firms such asÂ Accenture, Ernst & Young and the formerÂ Arthur Andersen.
He is a chartered accountant in Europe and member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals and the Professional Risk Management International Association.
