Barry Barlow serves as vice president and chief technology officer at Vencore, where he assesses the technology requirements of customers, partners and suppliers.
Barlow, a 35-year defense and space industry veteran, also oversees work on the company’s technology roadmap to meet those requirements.
He joined the company in January 2013 when it was known as The SI Organization after service at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, where he holds the distinction of being NGA’s first-ever director of GEOINT online services.
Barlow’s other roles at NGA have included director for the acquisition directorate in 2009 and deputy director of acquisition.
In 2005, he was appointed director of the acquisition systems office and program manager for the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence after service as NGA’s chief architect in the office of strategic transformation.
Barlow is a recipient of the the Presidential Rank Award of Meritorious Senior Executive and the Department of Defense Distinguished Civilian Service awards.
He received his master’s and bachelor’s degrees in computer science from the University of Southern Mississippi.
