Peruvian firm Khipu has adopted IBM company SoftLayer’s cloud platform to deploy its distance education program for teachers.
The number of facilitators and instructors that use the Moodle e-learning platform has grown since its rollout in late 2013 as Khipu sought to adopt a flexible infrastructure, IBM said Thursday.
IBM company said the result is a more robust platform to carry a program that can take on more users and reach anywhere there is Internet.
“At IBM, we strive every day to meet the needs of our customers in order to develop innovative technological solutions and to accompany them in their growth,†said Rodolfo Armellini, IBM Peru service manager.
“This project reflects our commitment to education, allowing teachers and students to access, collaborate and share in real-time from any remote location,” Khipu President Roberto Portugal said.
