Science Applications International Corp. has joined Amazon Web Services‘ partner network to deliver integrated cloud computing offerings in the private and public sectors.
Charles Onstott, vice president for cyber, cloud and data science at SAIC, said Thursday that the partnership with AWS is part of SAIC’s cloud portfolio growth strategy.

“We are pleased that SAIC is now an AWS Authorized Government Reseller, making it even easier for government customers to acquire AWS cloud services and harness the power of the AWS Cloud to transform government IT,†said Max Peterson, AWS director of worldwide public sector.
SAIC has worked with the National Weather Service to migrate the agency’s weather interactive processing system into the AWS cloud platform.
The company used the NWS project to demonstrate how cloud technology can help organizations save money as well as simplify software management and access to enterprise systems.
