Richard Breakiron, formerly executive program director for the Joint Regional Security Stack at Defense Information Systems Agency, has joined ViON Corp. as senior director of cyber solutions.
Breakiron will work to help ViON further its market presence in cloud services and information technology infrastructure for the U.S. military, DISA and U.S. security agencies, ViON said Thursday.
“Mr. Breakiron is widely known in the defense community for his network modernization efforts, especially for his focus on MPLS and his work to consolidate and harden the JRSS program,â€Â said Tom Frana, CEO of ViON.
Breakiron also served as network capacity domain manager at HQDA CIO/G-6, where he oversaw the Army network modernization program.
Prior to that role, he led HQDA CIO/G-6’s efforts to develop strategic messaging to the Army and Congress on IT reform and modernization as interim principal director and chief integration officer.
