A subsidiary of MAXIMUS has been tasked by the U.K. Department for Work and Pensions to manage its health and work service program beginning August under a 63-month contract.
Health Management Limited‘s clinicians will perform medical assessments and develop return-to-work plans for people unable to work for at least four consecutive weeks due to medical conditions, MAXIMUS said Friday.
CEOÂ Richard Montoni noted that he expects the contract to boost the company’s portfolio as a provider of occupational healthcare services.
The HWS program will launch in northern England, the midlands and Wales later this year and across the rest of the country by May 2015.
MAXIMUS said all qualified employed individuals can avail of the program, while referrals may come from general practitioners or employers without such programs.
