IBM Corp. has introduced a new big data service offering on its cloud marketplace in an effort to help customers manage enterprise-wide business content.
Clients are able to gain access to business content using browser, desktop and mobile platforms in a synchronized and secure environment through the big data service on the IBM Cloud marketplace, IBM said Tuesday.
“With today’s news, IBM is fulfilling an unmet need in the marketplace by providing a new service that combines enterprise grade security, governance and integration with mobile and web apps that are easy to interact with and use,” said Doug Hunt, IBM general manager for enterprise content management.
Users can also extract value from business content through the Softlayer-based IBM Navigator on Cloud, which is also available on the IBM Cloud marketplace.
The IBM big data offering is built based on enterprise content management technologies and features content management and file sharing applications.
