Vormetric and open-source database firm MongoDB have partnered to help enterprise customers protect data and applications in a NoSQL environment by using Vormetric’s security products.
The Vormetric encryption suite works to manage sensitive data at rest within MongoDB-powered big data implementations as well as secure files at the operating system and database level, Vormetric said Tuesday.
Tina Stewart, Vormetric vice president of marketing, said the company’s technology is designed to help MongoDB users avoid data breaches and comply with security regulations.
Vormetric offers a transparent encryption system for customers to manage access controls and thwart insider threats, according to the company.
The company says its application encryption platform works to help developers encrypt credit card or social security details in the database.
