Quantum Technology SciencesQuantum Technology Sciences has closed its target $4.4 million series-A funding round, the company announced Tuesday.

The provider of intrusion detection and movement monitoring products has a number of investors including Anthem Ventures, Cobalt International Energy, Infinity Oil & Gas and the McNair Group.

Mark Tinker, Quantum CEO, said his company’s technology uses a single concealed sensor to detect and classify threats on air, land and sea.

“It is highly validating to have such an impressive group of business and oil and gas professionals see the potential of not only our technology, but our company,” said Tinker.

Bud Brigham of Anthem Ventures said Quantum’s technology works to address “the pressing demand for international energy infrastructure security.”

Quantum has leveraged its geophysical data acquisition, analysis and systems expertise to serve various government sectors for more than 15 years by developing and delivering hundreds of tactical sensor systems for real-time threat monitoring.

This completed round of funding will support technology commercialization and the initial launch of the product platform as it enters the market.
