CH2M HILLÂ has won a five-year contract to provide operations, maintenance, repair and replacement services for the water and wastewater systems and other public infrastructure of Ontario, Oregon.
Ontario Mayor LeRoy Cammack said Monday the public-private partnership with CH2M HILL provides the city access to the company’s resources and expertise while maintaining full ownership of the facilities.
He also noted CH2M HILL’s previous work in Oregon, including the design of Ontario’s water treatment plant four decades ago and a recent road realignment project.
“We are delighted that the Mayor and Council have expressed their confidence in CH2M HILL by awarding us this important contract,” said Sean Haghighi, CH2M HILL vice president for business development.
The company will also manage Ontario’s capital improvement program and work with city council staff as part of the partnership, which commences this July.
Haghighi said a project manager will be leading the transition team in conducting workshops, training and development programs and orientation for the staff.
