An Engility Holdings subsidiary will compete with eight other companies for work under a potential five-year, $2.5 billion contract covering technical consulting services to U.S. Agency for International Development partners working in countries under transition.
Awardees such as the IRG subsidiary will work with USAID’s transition initiatives office to implement peace and democracy initiatives in the agency’s priority countries under the Support Which Implements Fast Transition IV vehicle, Engility said Wednesday.
Work under SWIFT IV could take place in regions such as Latin America, Africa, Middle East, Eastern Europe and Asia.
Tony Smeraglinolo, Engility president and CEO, said USAID aims for the SWIFT program to help conflict-affected countries.
“This is an important win that builds upon our work under the SWIFT III contract and we are honored to again be selected as an implementing partner to OTI,†Smeraglinolo added.
Engility will compete for work in areas such as economic development, infrastructure, public services and awareness campaigns for democratic principles.
