A subsidiary of Leidos will manage the NATO Fuel Monitoring System and its enterprise- and facility-level subsystems under an estimated $13 million, 10-month prime contract with the NATO Support Agency.
Varec will oversee the implementation, testing and maintenance of NFMS to support petroleum oils, lubricants and fuel sales, inventory and governance activities at NATO military installations, Leidos said Monday.
“The contract provides an opportunity to deploy several significant new capabilities for NFMS including a new enterprise mobile application for automatic data collection of fuel sale, receipt and shipment information,” said Tim Archer, Varec’s chief technology officer.
The company said it will also deliver enterprise data synchronization and enterprise mobile application for fuel transaction data exchange and collection and a vehicle tracking solution using GPS and mapping to monitor the movement of fuel.
Larry Hill, Leidos group president, said Leidos will support the capabilities of the NATO Support Agency in fuel management and operations as part of the contract.
