Hewlett-Packard has released an enterprise-class storage disk array that is designed to help customers consolidate storage, make data available and recover from disasters.
HP XP7 Storage is built to consolidate up to 4.5 petabytes of data in a single array, deliver up to 3 million I/O per second, support different media choices and use multiarray virtualization to protect data, the company announced Wednesday.
“Today’s mission-critical workloads cannot afford to forfeit performance or scalability for increased disaster recovery and data protection,” explained David Scott, senior vice president and general manager of HP Storage.
The product also features tools that are built to help users manage data with authentication, access control and FIPS 140-2 encryption.
