CH2M HILLÂ will present two technical papers on security technologies for buildings at the 23rd International Symposium on Military Aspects of Blast and Shock in Oxford, U.K. from Sept. 7 to Sept. 12.
Both papers were co-authored by CH2M HILL Senior Structural Engineer and Protective Design Specialist Michael Seica, the company announced Monday.
The first paper tackles the safety hazards from architectural glazing and other paper is about blast loading behavior of tubular steel flexural members.
Tubular steel is used for structural framing of buildings, the company says.
The MABS 23 conference is attended by scientists, engineers, academics and other professionals interested in shock wave research and associated thermal effects.
