Chris Kubasik, former president and chief operating officer at Lockheed Martin, has joined New York City-based investment banking firm Seabury Group to serve in the same roles.
John Luth, Seabury chairman and CEO, said Monday that the firm appointed Kubasik for his experience in the international and professional services markets, as well as his background in financial and operational leadership roles.
Luth added the firm aims to expand its footprint in the aerospace and defense sector.
As COO, Kubasik will lead the firm’s work to integrate its investment banking, management consulting and information technology portfolio into a single offering for current and potential clients.
He served as a partner at Ernst & Young between 1983 and 1999 prior to joining Lockheed and held a partner role at E&Y for three years.
Kubasik’s roles at Lockheed have included executive vice president of electronic systems, EVP and COO, as well as VP and controller.
