Siemens’ healthcare business unit has introduced a new healthcare management platform offering that is intended to help providers fulfill new care and payment requirements of different service models.
The CareXcell system contains new technologies designed to help providers manage patient care and monitor risks through an open communication and data sharing platform, Siemens said Thursday.
John Glaser, CEO of health services at Siemens Healthcare, said CareXcell aims to help providers address health and risk factors through a collaborative framework and technology for a both unified workflow and event processing.
CareXcell contains Motive Medical Intelligence-supplied care plans that work to transmit patient-specific messages in order to facilitate evidence-based interventions through a workflow engine for tracking the status of care plan activities.
Siemens designed CareXcell to give healthcare providers patient and population data analyses for monitoring clinical results.
Patients view their condition through a patient portal, notification systems and evidence-based tools that are embedded into CareXcell, Siemens says.
