MAXIMUS has partnered with the Drug Enforcement Administration Museum and the DEA Educational Foundation to support a national touring exhibit intended to show the effects of drugs on individuals and the society.
“Target America: Opening Eyes to the Damage Drugs Cause” will be housed at the Maryland Science Center in Baltimore until Sept. 1, the company announced Thursday.
During the Target America exhibit, visitors will experience a drug investigation that is designed to show the environmental effects of drugs and its effects on violence.
Visitors will also see brain scans of drug addicts, real wreckage from a drug-related car accident and a South American jungle coca processing lab.
DEA will show the evolution of heroin abuse and enforcement in the region, ongoing addiction science research in Maryland universities and drug abuse prevention groups in the state.
Since its establishment in 2002, the Target America exhibit has been showcased in nine cities and experienced by more than 22 million students, teachers and parents.
