Informatica has introduced an application retirement offering for healthcare customers that work to modernize business applications.
The new tool is built based on the Informatica Data Archive platform and works to retain necessary data and consolidate information technology infrastructure upon retirement of legacy systems, Informatica said Tuesday.
Dave Wilson, senior director for health and life sciences at Hitachi Data Systems, said the company intends to work with Informatica to help hospitals manage risks of retiring an application.
The company also combined its data archive offering with Hitachi Data Systems’ content platform for clients to search and view unstructured and structured healthcare data from a single platform.
Amit Walia, senior vice president and general manager of Informatica’s information lifecycle management business unit, added that refreshing and integrating systems are intended to help enhance patient outcomes.
