Deloitte has introduced a new idea for cyber risk management that aims to help organizations perform business transactions in a secure environment.
The Secure.Vigilant.Resilient. concept recommends that enterprises focus on identifying cyber threats and building up response methods in order to mitigate attacks, Deloitte said Thursday.
Ed Powers, national managing principal for Deloitte’s Cyber Risk Services practice, said the new approach is aimed at helping customers prepare for cyber incidents.
“Through a Secure.Vigilant.Resilient. program, they can embrace cyber risk management not as a necessary evil, but as a positive and an integral component of strategic planning that supports the achievement of their core mission and strategic objectives,†added Powers.
The concept is intended to depend on executive direction, governance processes and organizational defense practices.
Deloitte also renamed its Security, Privacy and Resilience practice into Cyber Risk Services, which will operate within the firm’s risk advisory services business.
