Lockheed-Martin-BlueLockheed Martin was selected by Chief Security Officer magazine for the publication’s annual list of 40 organizations that indicate business value and thought leadership.

Lockheed and the other companies named to the CS040 list will be recognized at the CSO40 Security Confab + Awards March 31 through April 2 in Braselton, Ga., Lockheed announced Tuesday.

For its part, Lockheed was recognized by the magazine for its insider threat detection program that works to identify and address risks associated with theft or misuse of intellectual property and trade secrets.

“U.S. corporations have seen a dramatic increase in economic and industrial espionage threats over the past five years and we do not see this trending data decreasing for the foreseeable future,” said Robert Trono, Lockheed vice president and chief security officer.

ITDP is also designed to work with a predictive analytics tool in order to gain a picture of an insider threat risk profile.
