Maxar Technologies has reported more than 200 subscribers for its cloud-based geospatial service that provides access to high-resolution satellite imagery for monitoring and mapping activities.
Maxar Technologies will test its Geospatial Cloud Analytics Hub under a potential $4.3M follow-on contract with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. The company said Wednesday the GCA Hub is an unclassified platform designed to help military users generate insights about the planet using machine learning and make decisions on various initiatives such as predicting food shortages.
Maxar Technologies has seen growth in the number of customers subscribing to its line of cloud-based geospatial data products. The line includes EarthWatch, SecureWatch, GBDX and Spatial on Demand, the company said Thursday.
Maxar Technologies‘ DigitalGlobe business has received a potential five-year, $7M contract from NASA to provide high-resolution commercial electro-optical and synthetic aperture radar satellite imagery for Earth observation studies.
