KC46AKratos Defense and Security Solutions has received a subcontract worth at least $20 million from Boeing to develop and deliver high-fidelity maintenance training systems for the U.S. Air Force‘s aerial refueling tanker.

Kratos said Wednesday it will provide high-fidelity virtual simulation, interactive multimedia instruction and full-scale simulators for the KC-46 Pegasus that will be used and networked to provide a realistic training experience.

Boeing received a potential two-year, $2.8 billion contract modification from the Air Force Thursday to start low-rate initial production of 19 Pegasus tankers.
