AT&T has entered into an agreement with the Department of Veterans Affairs to offer free video conferencing services to veterans to help them connect with their health care providers through smartphones, computers or tablets.

The FBI has awarded AT&T a $92 million mobility contract to provide additional FirstNet capabilities that support the bureau's operations. “We are pleased to see the Department of Justice (DOJ) expand its use of the network platform to connect more agencies within the law enforcement community,“ said Ed Parkinson, CEO of the FirstNet Authority.

AT&T has been awarded a ten-year, $311 million task order from the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to deliver modern networking capabilities and advanced technologies. "This task order award is testimony to our capability to deliver robust and reliable services at scale and manage them end-to-end to help government agencies like NOAA improve mission fulfillment," said Chris Smith, vice president of civilian and shared services at AT&T Public Sector and FirstNet.

AT&T and Cisco will collaborate to help enterprise customers increase visibility into internet of things devices across a network as part of an extended partnership between the two companies.

AT&T has announced that it will provide 5G and Networking-as-a-Service capabilities to support military personnel in the U.S. Air Force bases, including Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado; Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska; and Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, the company reported on Wednesday.
