TYSONS CORNER, VA, November 24, 2020 — CGI Group's federal business has promoted Clay Goldwein to senior vice president of consulting services for homeland security, responsible for service delivery and business growth and for leading a team that works on two federal cybersecurity programs, GovCon Wire reported Wednesday.

A CGI-made financial management system is now ready to undergo further assessment under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program. CGI Momentum, now granted the FedRAMP-ready status, will move forward in the program's certification process, with a target period of six months, CGI said Tuesday.

CGI has been awarded a $400 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract to provide mail and general support services to the Department of Justice (DOJ), the company announced Wednesday. The contract has a one-year base period with four option years and two additional 1-year award terms. 

Jerry McGinn, executive director of the Center for Government Contracting at George Mason University’s School of Business, said federal contract spending related to COVID-19 has become more varied as agencies transition to managing the ancillary effects of the coronavirus pandemic, the Washington Business Journal reported Thursday.

CGI has been awarded a six-year, $267M task order to provide cybersecurity consulting services under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation Program, the company announced on Wednesday.

Jerry McGinn, executive director of the Center for Government Contracting at George Mason University’s School of Business, said the federal government is implementing an “all-of-the-above” approach to procurement as it responds to the coronavirus pandemic, the Washington Business Journal reported Monday. “They are doing [Other Transaction Authorities], they are doing contract ramping, commercial production, they are doing things like the Defense Production Act, so lots of different efforts,” McGinn said of federal agencies.

CGI announced on Tuesday that it acquired Annams Systems Corp., doing business as Sunflower Systems, a provider of asset management software products and services. A definitive agreement was entered on Aug. 27th and the transaction was completed on Friday.

Maxar Technologies will continue to provide commercial satellite imagery products to Esri's global collection of data layers, maps and applications under a three-year contract extension signed between the two companies. The partnership offers ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World customers access to the Metro product covering 1K urban imagery mosaics and an updated version of the Vivid mosaic offering, Maxar said Monday.
