Jacobs has partnered with IronNet Cybersecurity to collaboratively design and develop a new offering meant to help commercial and government parties detect and address stealthy cyber threats. The joint cybersecurity offering will utilize artificial intelligence and machine learning to gain awareness of both known and unknown cyber risks and bolster network security against attacks, Jacobs said Thursday.

Jacobs has completed a transaction with PA Consulting through which it secured a 65 percent stake in the U.K.-based management consulting company. The investment placed an enterprise value of $2.5 billion to PA Consulting and the move is expected to drive Jacobs’ growth strategy as a leading technology-enabled solutions provider. The purchase was approved by PA employees and shareholders, with 99.9 percent voting in favor of the partnership.

Jacobs will carry out on-call maritime engineering consultant services for five years under an approximately $20 million contract from the New York City Economic Development Corp.

A Jacobs-led ground systems engineering team will prepare the Orion spacecraft for final processing and fueling as a prerequisite to rocket integration activities of an upcoming lunar flight mission. The company said Tuesday its Exploration Ground Systems team received Orion on Saturday at Florida-based Kennedy Space Center to prepare the spacecraft for NASA's Artemis program.

Jacobs has received a five-year, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract from the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC) to deliver waterfront facilities inspection and assessment services outside the contiguous U.S. (OCONUS). “We understand the critical importance of maintaining the structural integrity of the U.S. Navy's waterfront facilities,” said Tim Byers, senior vice president and general manager of federal and environmental solutions at Jacobs.

Jacobs has been awarded a five-year, $101 million task order for IT support services of critical networks by the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), Ground Intelligence Support Activity (GISA) and Enterprise Transport (GET). “This significant contract builds on our longstanding partnership with the U.S. Army,” said Jennifer Richmond, senior vice president for advancing national security at Jacobs. 

Jacobs has transitioned to 100 percent renewable energy for company operations during 2020 and achieved net-zero carbon emissions for its operations and business travel. "Reaching our goal to become carbon neutral is a major step in improving the way we run our operations at Jacobs," said Jacobs Chair and CEO Steve Demetriou. 

NASA has received the first Solid Rocket Booster segment for its Space Launch System and Jacobs has begun the stacking and integration of the system boosters at Kennedy Space Center in Florida in preparation for the agency's Artemis I mission.

Jacobs has agreed to purchase a 65 percent ownership stake in management consultancy PA Consulting as part of a strategic partnership deal. "Our partnership with PA forms a unique offering in the market that combines strategic front-end consulting and deep domain knowledge across key sectors with next generation science and technology expertise," said Jacobs Chair and CEO Steve Demetriou.

Jacobs has acquired The Buffalo Group, a provider of advanced cyber and intelligence solutions. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. "Defending our nation against adversarial threats is growing in complexity. The Buffalo Group's leading cyber and intelligence capabilities further strengthens our suite of national priority solutions across integrated multi-domain environments," said Jacobs chair and CEO Steve Demetriou. 

JBS Solutions, an 8(a) certified small business, will support Jacobs in engineering and scientific work at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, under a mentor-protege agreement between the two companies.
