Collins Aerospace, a company of Raytheon Technologies, has manufactured the 600th Thrust Vector Actuation (TVA) System for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile system. The company said Thursday the TVA is an all-electric component that has guided all of THAAD's live fire intercept activities so far. The component has also demonstrated capabilities needed for future missile weapon systems.

Ball Aerospace, which partnered with Booz Allen Hamilton, has been awarded a contract by the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO) to serve as the prime system integrator for the SpRCO Ground Command, Control and Communications (GC3) system, Ball Aerospace said Thursday. GC3 will support larger tactical command and control enterprise for the U.S. Space Force.

Bell has opened an office in Wichita, Kan., that will house the Textron subsidiary's corporate, manufacturing, supply chain and engineering functions and programs that support aerospace customers. The new facility is part of an investment to grow Bell operations after the U.S. Army selected the aircraft manufacturer to participate in two of the service branch's modernization programs, Textron said Thursday.

Tenax Aerospace has appointed Joe Boeckx as executive vice president of Business Development, effective Aug. 17, the company announced Wednesday. Boeckx, a U.S. Army veteran and former Department of Defense serviceman, brings a deep experience across aerospace and defense industries. Prior to joining Tenax, Boeckx served as executive vice president of Corporate Development at Akima.
