The U.S. Air Force has released a request for information on artificially intelligent technologies capable of providing critical infrastructure security and enabling base defense operations while building off of the service branch's existing facility defense concepts.

The U.S. Air Force's nuclear weapons center has launched a market research for advanced planning efforts related to intercontinental ballistic missile and sought input from potential sources of technologies for futute reentry vehicles, including radiation hardened electronics. 

Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) announced it is soliciting proposals for early-stage research referred to as seedlings for next-generation microelectronics for artificial intelligence (AI). Interested parties must submit a white paper until May 17, while the proposals themselves are due June 30.

The service branch aims to build, test, certify and field autonomous capabilities for unmanned surface and undersea vehicles via the Rapid Autonomy Integration Lab program, according to a Beta SAM notice posted Friday.

The U.S. Army is looking for information on potential sources of production services for a manned/unmanned teaming platform designed to integrate with the Apache attack helicopter. The Army said in a sources sought notice posted Friday that it seeks vendors for follow on production of the MUMT-eXpanded system and its associated subsystems including upper receiver antennas, remotely operated video-enabled receiver modems and data link system processors.

The U.S. Army seeks white papers on systems that would protect hypersonic weapons from the harmful effects of heat. The service branch said Friday in a SAM notice it needs information on materials and processes needed to prototype thermal protection systems for the Common Hypersonic Glide Body of long-range hypersonic weapons.
