FireEye Inc. has partnered with property and casualty insurer ACE Group to jointly evaluate the threat exposure of customers in order to help organizations mitigate cyber risks.
FireEye and ACE will combine their technical knowledge bases for insurance providers to view the cybersecurity readiness of customers and adjust cyber insurance based on their risk profile, FireEye said Monday.
“Our alliance with ACE Group is a natural fit as it allows organizations to assess and address their exposure to cyber threats and minimize this exposure across the risk spectrum,†said Steve Pataky, vice president of worldwide channels and alliances at FireEye.
FireEye will work to educate ACE policyholders on cyber defenses, assess their capacity to combat advanced persistent threats, perform non-intrusive assessment of security posture and provide front-line insight and intelligence.
FireEye also said in a separate announcement that it would work with Marsh to assess an organization’s ability to address cyber attacks and their security infrastructure through the Objective Assessment Scorecard of Information Security program.
“By working with Marsh, we’re able to help evaluate an organization’s threat profile and the efficacy of its current systems to provide recommendations on how to improve the firm’s overall posture across the risk spectrum,†said Jurgen Kutscher, VP of security consulting services at FireEye.
Under this collaboration, FireEye-Mandiant consultants will examine existing security and incident response processes against best practices and submit a report detailing the state of cybersecurity readiness to the client.
