The Canadian city of Ottawa in Ontario has chosen Parsons to carry out seismic retrofitting work for the 1964-built McIlraith Bridge.
Parsons will provide construction services for the 662-foot-long highway bridge with four traffic lanes above the Rideau River, and plans to partially implement lane closures during the bridge’s rehabilitation, the company said Friday.
Todd Wager, Parsons group president, said the company is pleased to collaborate with the city of Ottawa over the project as it works to improve the safety of the motoring public.
Work on the McIlraith Bridge is expected to conclude by the end of this year.
