CGI will continue to provide information technology services for Louisiana’s Road Home and other disaster relief initiatives following the renewal of its contract with the state’s Office of Technology Services division of administration.
Road Home is a housing recovery effort run by the office of community development disaster recovery unit that offers financial aid to property owners affected by hurricanes, the company said Tuesday.
The three-year, $19 million contract extension calls for CGI to perform IT administration, infrastructure maintenance, systems integration, application enhancement and IT asset management work for the relief efforts in the state.
“CGI is pleased to continue its partnership with the state supporting its ongoing disaster recovery operations,†said Dave Henderson, senior vice-president at CGI.
Richard Howze, Louisiana’s chief information officer, added, “Over the past six years, our partnership with CGI has enabled us to expand business capabilities, reduce IT operational costs, and most importantly, help the state better support Louisiana citizens affected by various storms.”
