Ensco Avionics Canada has secured a contract from an Ontario-based company to equip a modernized ground vehicle with an automated driver interface using its commercial-off-the-shelf software development toolkit.
The company said Friday its IData Tool Suite can help experts design human machine interface applications that can run on cockpit displays with DO-178C certifications and ground, training and simulation platforms of unmanned aircraft systems.
The resulting digital console features two ruggedized tablet computers that display vehicle status and dashboard information.
The company said the technology is meant to help users access vehicle maintenance data and read engine sensor readings.
