Esri has been certified under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program to offer cloud services for government users of a geographic information system technology.
Jack Dangermond, president of Esri, announced at the company’s annual geospatial conference that its managed cloud service offering is designated FedRAMP compliant at the moderate security level, Esri said Monday.
The company introduced the program with the goal of providing federal customers with multiple ready-to-use instances of the ArcGIS platform in cloud environments.
“We look forward to continue working with vendors like Esri who have demonstrated FedRAMP compliance through the CSP Supplied path” said Matt Goodrich, FedRAMP director.
Esri’s cloud program is also designed to allow customers to access ArcGIS Online as well as server and portal applications for the geographic data management product.
The company also seeks to help agencies comply with the federal government’s Cloud First policy through the managed service.
