Jacobs Engineering Group has won a two-year contract of an undisclosed amount with the Saudi Industry Property Authority to design and develop industrial cities in the country.
The company will provide concept and design services for three new industrial cities in Saudi Arabia, the company said Tuesday.
“We look forward to supporting MODON’s goal to create a lasting and impactful development, by drawing upon our local and global expertise incorporating best practices in city planning, urban design, transportation planning, energy efficiency, and environmental standards,” said Bassim Shebar, Jacobs Group vice president.
“We are delighted to be working with MODON on this important project to develop the infrastructure required to help expand and diversify the economy of Saudi Arabia,” added Shebar.
MODON was established in 2001 to oversee the development of industrial cities across Saudi Arabia.
