Unisys has adopted VMware architecture to put out a new solution that integrates the information technology manager’s business tools into one cloud-based workspace.
Unisys Desktop as a Service seeks to lower the costs organizations incur from buying software licenses and hardware with its suite of offerings from virtual desktops, related support services, and maintenance and monitoring, Unisys said Monday.
Unisys Desktop as a Service also has security options such as malware detection and data encryption.
According to Larry Dunn, vice president for solution portfolio management at Unisys Enterprise Services, the solution’s full range of IT managed services and end-user support services, combined with the anytime, anywhere secure access of the cloud seeks to make productive members out of any team.
“Providing your employees with the latest, most powerful desktop resources doesn’t have to be a break-the-bank exercise any longer,” Dunn said.
