IBM and AECOM are collaborating to develop water management technology offerings for customers to meet various water resource demands.
AECOM will combine its water management portfolio with IBM’s Intelligent Water software, data management and data analytics systems to create the Smarter Water offering, AECOM said Tuesday.
Michael Burke, AECOM president and CEO, said the technology is intended to help clients gain insights into water resources in order to manage their water infrastructure.
The water management system will work to collect data into a single system for users to view operations from an integrated platform.
Water and wastewater management organizations will be able to detect irregularities in the water management infrastructure by using the Smarter Water technology, AECOM says.
