HPLogo1 EbizHewlett Packard has introduced two suites of computer products that aim to address business users’ mobility and data security needs.

The Pro x2 612 laptop is built to combine the elements of a notebook and a tablet, while the Elite 700 series is comprised of desktops and notebooks with a high-definition monitor, HP said Thursday.

“While the use of technology in business has allowed a blurring of the line that separates work and life, many businesses require updated technology that delivers a secure and satisfying experience to its employees,” said Enrique Lores, HP senior vice president and general manager of commercial PCs.

Lores added the company designed the computers to help enterprise workers stay connected and productive.

The Pro x2 612 device has a detachable 12.5-inch display, runs an Intel Core i3/i5 processor and includes dual batteries designed to last up to 8 hours and 15 minutes, according to HP.

HP Elite 700 computers are powered by either an Intel Core i3/i5 processor or an AMD A-Series Pro accelerated processing unit.

The portfolio includes a desktop with in-plane switching display technology as well as a laptop with slim and lightweight designs, according to HP.
