Charles River Analytics has been picked to design and demonstrate advanced mission display and planning tools for the U.S. Navy’s drone management program.
The $500,000 contract is for 18 months of work and involves development of new visual techniques for operators of automated systems in a variety of mission scenarios, Charles River said Tuesday.
“Under AMPT, we are developing novel mission displays to improve the supervisory control of unmanned vehicles… and  increase the observability and directability of automated planning systems,†said Dr. Ryan Kilgore, principal investigator on the project at Charles River.
