Hewlett Packard has released a new converged infrastructure product that works to help customers analyze and manage large amounts of business data through SAP‘s HANA in-memory database platform.
The HP ConvergedSystem 900 for SAP HANA is designed to provide users up to 12 terabytes of storage capacity and consolidates enterprise applications into a single information technology system, HP said Monday.
HP built the product through its Project Kraken collaboration with SAP.
“Businesses are adopting SAP HANA to make real-time business decisions based on massive data sets, but are often constrained by their infrastructure’s scalability and availability,” said Tom Joyce, HP senior vice president and general manager of converged systems.
Kevin Ichhpurani, SAP senior vice president of corporate business development and strategic ecosystem, said the HP’s integrated technology aims to boost HANA workload analytics.
HP also launched the Helion Business Applications for SAP offering, a managed cloud-based service intended to help clients run enterprise applications from different locations.
The company also offers technical support and consulting services to organizations that aim to migrate their infrastructure into HP’s cloud-based integrated system.
